There is help and support available from regulatory and legislative bodies to help ensure that your business is operating in an appropriate manner and that you are making the most of the opportunities the regulatory framework provides.

Trading Standards can offer a range of advice and support in relation to regulations. Companies in North Yorkshire should visit www.northyorks.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=2811 whilst those in York should visit http://www.york.gov.uk/advice/Trading_standards/businesses/ and those in the East Riding can get advice and information from www2.eastriding.gov.uk/business/trading-standards/.

Local Authorities also relate to businesses in a number of other ways. Harrogate Borough Council has an useful online contact list for all it's business facing departments.
