£50,000 of Grant Aid committed to small businesses affected by flooding in North Yorkshire
York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership (YNYER LEP) are taking action to help business owners in North Yorkshire following the recent flooding.
Please note this funding has now been fully committed and we are not accepting new applications.
The LEP have allocated £50,000 to support small and micro businesses with the clean-up and to resume trading as soon as possible.
Financial support, with grant aid of up to £2,000 to cover some of the costs for businesses to get back up on their feet, comes from a fund held by the LEP and is available on a first come, first served basis.
Announcing the allocated funds at the auction mart in Leyburn on Wednesday, David Kerfoot MBE DL, Chair of the LEP, offered his support to businesses that have been affected by flooding and assured those present that both he and the LEP are committed to enabling businesses in the area to re-open as soon as possible.
Mr Kerfoot also added, “We are working with all the Chairs of the NP11 to encourage government to offer the same assistance as was made available after the 2015 floods. Small businesses need financial support as do North Yorkshire County Council, to cover the £3m they will spend on infrastructure repairs.”
Businesses who are interested to apply for the grant aid need to apply using the application form attached below, along with relevant associated documentation. The LEP will review it and confirm eligibility and payment date within 48 hours. Full details of the associated documentation required can be found in the attached guidelines below.
