The success of places will increasingly be determined by the extent to which they function effectively, providing safe and thriving centres with ‘walkable’ and ‘bikeable’ environs. Weekday levels were at c55% for bus and c33% for rail during July & August.

Our Pledge:

Active travel and public transport usage increases beyond pre COVID 19 levels.

Our Actions:

  • Promote and Develop our walking and cycling infrastructure
  • Provide safe, clean and green  public transport
  • Increase the E-vehicle charging infrastructure

A Plan to Reshape our Economy

Following on from our vision launch for a greener, fairer, stronger economic recovery for YNY, the LEP has worked with all LAs and partner organisations region-wide to develop a plan to reshape the region’s economy in order to address the challenges and opportunities arising from the pandemic.
