Adult Education Budget: An Analysis

03 November 2020

Earlier this year the LEP commissioned some extensive research into learning across York and North Yorkshire and funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency through the Adult Education Budget (AEB).  The £11m of annual AEB funded provision delivered  across our area plays a key role in supporting adults (19+) to engage in learning and develop the skills they need to access and progress in work either through a Community route or via more formal education and training.

We were delighted that West Yorkshire Combined Authority was able to undertake the research on our behalf and to produce a report to support our understanding of the arrangements for the delivery of AEB learning and inform our thinking and conversations with partners on how it might be used in the future to bring even greater benefits to our area.

The Executive summary can be accessed here and the Full Report here.
