How Yorkshire can benefit from Circular Economy
09 October 2020The University of York Management School recently held a masterclass webinar in partnership with Circular Yorkshire.
Over 95 attendees took part to listen to Katie Thomas, Senior Strategy Manager for Low Carbon & Environment at the York & North Yorkshire LEP talk about Circular Yorkshire and the business case for adopting circular economy. Caroline Conroy from Too Good to Go also spoke about the global issue of food waste and how they through simple to use technology, support businesses to reduce their waste.

The next University of York Circular Economy Masterclass in partnership with Circular Yorkshire will be on 21st October 2020.
Sue Jefferson, from Circular Malton & Norton, will present how to change attitudes and behaviours, putting forward this initiative as an example of a town adopting circular economy principles. She will share what has worked, what were the barriers faced and what is the plan ahead. Sue will convey how to initiate broad community engagement in environmental change and how to unlock business managers’ mindsets to make environmental change a priority for their competitive advantage.
