Ilke Homes supports Harrogate High School and Careers Leaders

22 October 2020

Responding to COVID-19, Lisa Avins from Ilke Homes and Enterprise Advisor for Careers and Enterprise Company, delivered an interactive Microsoft Teams session to students at Harrogate High School.

Over a dozen students benefited from the personality profiling; one of many events the business hope to run for students as an effective way of preparing them for the world of work.

Additionally, Ilke homes have engaged local career leaders through site tours and presentations, showcasing potential careers within the growing modular construction industry. Raising aspirations of young people and increasing the quality of careers advice is key to developing a talented future workforce.

One of the students taking part said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the interactive activities during the session and it was interesting to find out more about my personality profile.”

A representative for Harrogate High School said, “As a school we are incredibly excited to build our relationships with Ilke homes and with Lisa and we are already discussing visits to the factory where students will take part in their innovative recruitment process along with hosting interactive production line challenges in school.”
