Ryedale District Council secures funding for cycle route

Malton to Pickering cycle route

Ryedale District Council has secured funding from the Rural Development Programme for England (which is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development) for a cycle route linking two of our market towns into the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route on the National Cycle Network, and improved active travel through the Malton – Norton connectivity project which will reduce congestion, improve air quality and encourage active travel through improved walking and cycling provision. Completion summer 2021.

 

A Plan to Reshape our Economy

Following on from our vision launch for a greener, fairer, stronger economic recovery for YNY, the LEP has worked with all LAs and partner organisations region-wide to develop a plan to reshape the region’s economy in order to address the challenges and opportunities arising from the pandemic.
