We are delighted to announce today the publication of the York and North Yorkshire Labour Market Analysis – LMA 2021.

This analysis builds on the first LMA we produced in 2019. It is informed by the most recent data available on education, training and employment and also considers the current and likely impact of Covid-19 on the demand for and supply of skills.

This analysis explores our regional strengths and the challenges we face alongside recommendations to support us meet our ambitions as set out in our post COVID-19 recovery vision –  “Greener, Fairer, Stronger” and our Skills Strategy 2021-2026.

Whether you are a front-line skills practitioner or skills stakeholder – if you recognise the value of skills in boosting productivity and unleashing the potential of individual talent, this analysis will be an invaluable resource to support your own planning and priorities.

Our Skills and Employability Board –in its role as the local Skills Advisory Partnership –  will be exploring the findings and taking into account its recommendations when setting direction for 2021 and beyond.
