Adrian’s role is Head of Assurance which involves ensuring the LEP’s Assurance Framework is complied with, ensuring capital project investments made are done so on sound economic and value-for-money grounds and then subsequent funding agreements are contract managed. He also has oversight of the LEP’s finances and project management systems.
He has extensive experience in the regeneration and economic development field having previously held positions within English Partnerships (the forerunner to the Homes & Communities Agency) and Yorkshire Forward, where he was the Programme Manager for the €584million 2007-13 Yorkshire & Humber European Regional Development Fund Programme.
After leaving Yorkshire Forward, he became a freelance consultant where his clients included the Department of Culture, Media and Sport progressing State Aid notifications with the European Commission for the Broadband UK project. His most interesting assignment though was working with an entrepreneur who wanted to set up a new airline business and internet brand.
Outside of work, Adrian has a love of sport and music. He has previously been a school governor, local parish councillor and a Director of Featherstone Rovers Rugby League Club.
