Liz works on a secondment basis as Coastal Lead for the LEP, which dovetails with her role as Renaissance Programme Manager for Bridlington and Coastal Policy Lead with East Riding of Yorkshire Council. This includes supporting the North Bank Partnership on their Coastal Issues theme for strategic input to the LEP from private and strategic public partners, along with both coastal local authorities.
An extensive background in local authority civil engineering project management and capital programme delivery, particularly in highways and public realm projects, was followed by a career move into economic development at the start of the Bridlington Regeneration Programme, and a distance learning MSc in Local & Regional Economic Development, to add to membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Liz has been part of the delivery team that has seen over £100million investment in the last ten years for Bridlington.
Any spare time is taken up by a busy teenage family, requiring extensive taxi services, as well as helping out with admin for a couple of sports clubs and being a school governor with a careers link role.
